Challenge
Organize a global sustainability forum for 600 delegates while maintaining a carbon-neutral footprint and demonstrating local ecological responsibility.
Strategy
Implemented a zero-plastic, locally sourced, and carbon-offset conference framework. Every element, from recycled wood staging to organic composting, was audited for carbon cost.
Execution
Partnered with local vendors in Cape Town. We deployed digital-only banners, coordinated shared hybrid transport, arranged local organic meals with minimal carbon footprint, and contributed to a local reforestation project for every mile traveled by delegates.
Results
Achieved verified carbon-neutral status. Generated 300 tree planting initiatives, and set a new benchmark for ecological standards in African MICE events.
